Functional features
Didactics/Learning flow management At the moment, learning paths are not available and it's not possible to implement learning activities.
Tests and assessment The Test&Assessment tool is very easy to use and allows the creation of single choice questions and multiple choice questions. Unfortunately there is not yet import functionality
Media formats/Authoring The only way to create content is to use the application authoring tools
Course monitoring Course support is very simple: users can subscribe to courses. No other facility is offered about courses.
Communication Asynchronous communication is allowed through forums. No tool for synchronous communication is available.
General look and feel of the system No customization of layout is possible
Permissions handling A specific installation is required for each course, so access to one specific course is granted through access to the application.

Maintainability
Quality of technical documentation No developer documentation is available
Scalability The system is not very popular, it is mostly used in University of Utah, where it was created
Extensibility The code is OK, but no extension architecture (plug-in system, documented API) is available. No specific system is provided to manage bug reports or user requirements. No public version management system is available. 3 stable versions were released.
Adaptability/standard compliance The system supports no standard.
Usability
User documentation Documentation (for users and authors) is only in English and is quite poor. However, there is a quite efficient online help.
Generating content The creation of content with the builtin tools is quite difficult, but the creation of tests is easy and efficient.
Level of expertise needed The system is very easy to use and to manage for administrator, but the use by tutor/instructor is not that easy. On the other hand, end users can use it easily.
Other There's no easy way to customize the system and no accessibility standard is supported.

Total cost of ownership
Type of users The system is mostly used in universities.
Financial stability The team has 8 members; the project exists since 2001.
One time cost There are no special hardware needs. The installation is quite long since the files need to be edited befor the system can be used.
Recurring costs Periodical activities are those commonly required to administer a java web application.
